About Me

HMCE-Badges: Customs Badges, Memorabilia, United Kingdom; HM Customs & Excise - it seemed so sad for this historic department whose roots can be traced back as far as the early 1200s, and more recently in the early 1600’s when the first Board of Customs was created to be forgotten after the merger (takeover) with Inland Revenue on 18 April 2005 to form HM Revenue & Customs. So, many years ago I determined to try and preserve some of the memories and memorabilia of HMC&E before they became forgotten in the mists of time.
